Thank you for your interest in the Robert W. Denniston Memorial Station. Past ARRL & IARU President and DXpedition pioneer Bob Denniston, VP2VI/W0DX was a cherished friend and member of the Caribbean Contesting Consortium which honors his memory and perpetuates the use of his callsign through its operating events. After heading up the VP7NG "Gon-Waki" trip during the 1948 ARRL DX contest, Bob was credited with being "the father of the modern DX-pedition". Other firsts included Clipperton (FO8AJ) and Malpelo (HK0TU). His VP1JH ARRL DX-CW score was a world record. For QSO's effective November 1, 2003 QSL to N9AG.
