Notes on K9SG Bencher Skyhawk

Trial assembled boom and marked in Ohio for quick assembly. Bought some missing hardware at Hartville Hardware and then wrapped bundles in bubble wrap for shipping.

27 August 2018

Driven to Miami by N5OT, departing W0CG in late August, then shipped to Curacao, delivered at house 12 October 2018.

17 November 2018

Final assembly completed by W0CG. Installed DXE 1:1 5KW balun on boom using custom mount U-bolts. Two drain holes drilled in bottom of DXE balun. Shows perfect dips on all bands on AA-54 analyzer. Skyhawk will be installed at top of Europe tower in place of old 205-BAS 20 Europe Yard because that antenna has difficult to repair damage to element tips. Will be cabled to Tribanders box and listed as Bencher Europe Yard.
