Notes on Autek Wattmeters

WM (3) intermittent. W0CG brought to to Idaho 5 April 2017, shipped to N7IR. From N7IR: The fault was a broken 1/8 Watt resistor lead, caused by corrosion.  I've replaced all of the resistors in this unit with new 1/4 Watt carbon composition or metal film resistors as required. It's been recalibrated to agree with my Bird 43 and 100 Watt Bird slug on my Bird 150 Watt dummy load.

Only the top of the board showed any signs of corrosion, so it's probably caused by deposition of saltwater aerosol.  I will seal up the large hole in the back of the meter unit with duct tape.  That should keep the rate of new corrosion to a minimum.

N7IR will ship to WI9WI for his May WPX CW trip. WI9WI brought it back and left it at the station on the Station 2 - 3 desk corner.
